Tips For Teeth Whitening

By: Cathy Howard

Teeth stained by smoking and soda can rob you of your sparkling smile. Luckily, some items commonly found at home or at the store offer secret solutions to stained teeth that will keep you and your dentist happy.

Crush one strawberry and combine it with half a tablespoon of baking soda until it resembles toothpaste. Apply this mixture to your teeth. Make sure to cover all your teeth evenly. Let the paste stay on your teeth for 5 minutes and then brush your teeth carefully. Rinse and floss well to remove any strawberry bits that may stick to your teeth. This procedure once a week will keep your smile bright and white!

If you can't get your hands on strawberries, baking soda is fine on its own. Put toothpaste on your toothbrush and combine it with baking soda. Brush as you normally would, and watch your teeth start to shine.

Baking soda with sea salt work great together because the salt will scrub off most stains. Baking soda, on the other hand, is a great whitener for your teeth. One tablespoon of salt with three tablespoons of baking soda will do wonders for your teeth.

Hydrogen peroxide is a mild chemical that will keep germs at bay, and will help against stained teeth. One tablespoon of baking soda mixed with a few drops of hydrogen peroxide will make an affordable paste to whiten your teeth.

Half a tablespoon of lemon juice combined with a tablespoon of baking soda is another effective combination for keeping your teeth stain-free. Remember, combined with regular trips to the dentist, these simple home remedies will keep your teeth clean and your smile bright.
